A community-driven benchmark for AI tools that create 3D content in and for Blender.
What is this?
The Blender AI Arena is a benchmark site where users compare AI-generated 3D outputs in blind side-by-side matchups. You see two outputs, pick the better one (or tie/both bad), and your vote feeds into a live ranking system. No accounts needed.
An open-source benchmark
The benchmark itself is open source, not just its results. The prompt set and the generation rules every competitor runs under are published in full, the rating method is a documented standard with every constant listed below, and the raw ballots are downloadable as CSV under CC BY 4.0.
That means nothing here has to be taken on trust: run the same prompts against the same tools, recompute the Glicko-2 numbers from the ballot file, and you should land on this leaderboard. If you don't, that is a bug worth reporting.
Rating methodology: Glicko-2
We use the Glicko-2 rating system, developed by Mark Glickman at Harvard. It extends the classic Elo system with two key additions:
- Rating deviation
- Measures how uncertain the rating is. New models start with a high RD (350); as votes accumulate, RD drops toward 30.
- Volatility
- Tracks whether a model's performance is consistent or erratic. Consistent performers earn more stable rankings.
Rating minus 2× RD decides the order — many consistent votes beat a high rating from a few matchups.
The conservative rating (rating minus 2× RD) is used for ranking. This rewards models with many consistent votes over ones with high ratings from few matchups.

Models in the arena
The arena tracks 14 AI tools across three categories: 3D generators (Hunyuan3D, Luma Genie, Meshy AI, Rodin AI, Sloyd, Trellis 3D, Tripo AI), AI assistants and agents (3D-Agent, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, GPT-6 Astra, Grok), and legacy addons (BlenderGPT). 7 systems are competing in Season 2. The Blender AI Arena is a community-run benchmark. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Blender Foundation, and it is not an official Blender project. The name “Blender” is used here only to describe what the benchmarked tools are used for. Blender® is a registered trademark of the Blender Foundation.
The AI tools ranked here are the trademarks and products of their respective owners. Being included in the arena is not an endorsement of a tool, and it does not mean its makers took part, reviewed the results or agreed with them — every competitor is benchmarked from the outside, under the same published rules.
